

She was born on June 19, 1939 in Massachusetts, a daughter of Francis and Alice (Grace) Nelson. Eleanor was raised and educated in Wareham. She was married to Robert E. Aiello, a veteran of the United States Navy. She had resided in Sudbury for 33 years and was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church. Prior to her time there, she lived in California, Maine and Japan. Eleanor worked as a toddler teacher at A Small World Child Care Center in Sudbury for many years until her retirement in the mid-1990's. Upon her retirement, she took great joy in caring for her grandchildren and spending time with her family.
She is survived by four children, Ann Marie Hunter and her husband Thomas of Hudson, Teresa Trainque and her husband Richard of Lunenburg, John Aiello and his wife Patricia of Upton, Carl Aiello and his wife Kellie of Bridgewater; nine grandchildren, T. J. and Jeffrey Hunter, Alex and Max Trainque, Mandy Trainque and her partner Eric Knowles of Lunenburg, Michael and Kate Aiello, Taylor and Madison Aiello; one great-grandson, Owen; one sister, Irene Delaney of VA; one brother, Ralph Nelson and his wife Lucy of North Dartmouth; also many nieces, nephews and extended family including a sister-in-law, Anna Forte of Framingham.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 4 at 9AMfrom the Duckett –J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury with a funeral Mass at 10AM at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury. Interment will follow at Mount Wadsworth Cemetery, Sudbury.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, December 3 from 4-8PM at the funeral home.
