Frances Margaret Connors

Frances M Connors “Nancy” (Cooney) of Sudbury, MA and Vero Beach, FL, died peacefully on December 22, 2015 after a short illness. She was born on December 3, 1928 in Lynn, MA. She was the daughter of the late Bernard P. Cooney and Anna (Phinn) Cooney. Nancy is survived by her husband of 61 years Edward W. Connors of Sudbury, MA and her children, Maureen Connors of Wayne, PA, Barbara O’Brien and her husband Curtis of Marlboro, Ma, Edward Connors and his wife Jennifer of Brownsville, VT, Brian Connors and his wife, Patricia of Newtown, PA, Sean Connors and his wife Patricia of Natick, MA, Paul Connors and his wife Kelly of Phoenixville, PA, Margaret Connors of Downingtown, PA, Timothy Connors and his wife Denise of Colorado Springs, CO and David Connors and his wife Leanne of Sandy Hook, CT and eighteen grandchildren. Her sisters Barbara, Mary and Eleanor and her brother Bernard and many nieces and nephews, in laws and friends also survive her. Her brothers Richard, Joseph and Vincent predecease her. She was loved by all and will be missed every day.

Visiting hours will be held at Duckett-J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road,Rt. 20, Sudbury, MA 01776 Monday, December 28, 2015 from 3:00– 7:00 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury Tuesday, December 29 at 9 am.

Frances spent her early years on Mission Hill in Roxbury and was raised in Waban, MA. She attended Framingham State Teachers college and worked for the MBTA before meeting her husband, Ed, at a dance. They were married on September 18, 1954 in Newton, Ma. They moved to Sudbury, Ma in 1961 and raised their family. She was a volunteer for FISH in Sudbury and a devoted parishioner at Our Lady of Fatima in Sudbury, MA and St Helens in Vero Beach, FL. Nancy had a great sense of adventure and traveled extensively with her husband until she was 85, taking cruises and trips to Russia, China and around the world. She will be remembered for her quick wit and her patience and love.
