Services originally scheduled for Saturday November 12, 2022 have been postponed until Saturday November 19, 2022.
A sweet, funny, man gently left us on October 21, 2022. He was 92 years young. He was the husband of the late Jean (Gardner) Corcoran and son to the late William and Katherine (Lally) Corcoran. A heavenly reunion is expected with his siblings who went before him, Joan (Corcoran) Linnane , Janet (Corcoran) Coe, and Reverend Lawrence Corcoran, S.J.
Those left behind to cherish his memory include his daughter Jacqueline “Jacqui”, son William “Bill”, sister Mary(Corcoran) Gallagher and his long term companion Margo Fleming. He also leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins and friends.
He grew up in Brookline, Massachusetts, served in the US Navy during the Korean War, graduated from Boston College and went on to achieve his Master's degree while working two jobs early in his marriage. He and Jean started their family in Concord, MA, spent a few years in Durham, NH then moved to Sudbury, MA where they spent many years. Frank was a long term communicant at St Anselm's church. He was an educator, starting in the classroom as a teacher, working in education consulting, and then moving into school administration as Assistant Superintendent of schools in a New Hampshire district. He capped his career working for the Natick (MA) Public school system.
Frank loved travel, crosswords, dining out, music and dancing, savoring a well mixed Manhattan, time with friends and family, following the Patriots, Red Sox and his alma mater’s football team, the Boston College Eagles. He was probably best known for his great sense of humor, love of golf, betting the horses and positive outlook on life.
A Visitation for Francis will be held in St. Anselm Church, 100 Landham Road, Sudbury, MA 01776 on Saturday, November 19, at 11:00am with a Funeral Mass to follow at 12:00pm. Burial will be at Wadsworth Cemetery, 74 Concord Road, Sudbury, MA 01776 following the church services.
More than anything, the Corcoran family would welcome memories, and/or photos to be shared at www.duckett.waterman.com. This will help ease our grief going forward.
