
Nicholas J. “Nick” Sottile a 55 year resident of Sudbury and the husband of Gertrude (Busceme) Sottile, died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Emerson Hospital in Concord. He was 81. Born in Waltham where he was raised and educated; he also lived in Concord as a young boy. A few years after high school Nick served in the Korean War era by joining the United States Air Force. He was given an Honorable Discharge in 1953 and will receive Military Air Force Honors at the time of his interment in Wadsworth Cemetery, Sudbury. Nick was employed for many years at Brandeis University in Waltham where he was the supervisor of the university’s physical plants and designer of the landscape features of the on campus buildings. In addition to his wife, Gertrude, he is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Ann Flynn of Clinton; his son and daughter in law, Steven M. and Mary Sottile of Marlboro; his daughter and son in law, Patricia J. and Robert Malerbi of Groton and his daughter and son in law, Jody M. and Brian Lynch of Marlboro. He was also survived by his sister and brother in law, Rose and Warne Clark of Sacramento, CA and his eleven grandchildren; Erin, Courtney, Kevin Jr., Stefanie, Jillian, Michael, Megan, Rorie, Lauren, Amy and Sarah. A funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 6, at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 160 Concord Road, Sudbury at 10: 00 a.m. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Duckett-J.S.Waterman
