Richard Donald Blackburn, 88, of Framingham, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 14, 2017. Born October 22, 1929, in Attleboro, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late William and Fannie Mae (Gammon) Blackburn.
Don graduated from Attleboro High School and continued his education at Brown University and Bryant College. He joined the United States Army and served in Germany during the Korean War. Don enjoyed his career as a vice president of sales for both national and international industrial computer equipment corporations and remained active in business until shortly before his passing.
Don is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Barbara (Weygand) Blackburn. He was the devoted father of Christopher Richard Blackburn and his wife, Beth Hutchins, and Nancy Blackburn Sparks and her husband, Lawrence. Don was an extremely proud, attentive, and loving grandfather of Lindsey Kautz and her husband Brian, Hailey Blackburn, Lauren Blackburn, Daniel, David, and Steven Sparks, Lindsey Rose Hutchins, Shelby Hutchins, and Olivia Hutchins. He is also survived by many loving relatives and friends.
