

Born in Cambridge, MA, on December 3, 1925, he was the son of Robert Pond and Daphne (Phillips) Bolster. He was raised in Newton Lower Falls, MA, and graduated from Newton High School. Mr. Bolster served in the United States Army during World War II and went on to attend Boston University and Harvard Business School. Mr. Bolster worked for Spaulding Sporting Goods as the Worldwide Purchasing Manager for many years. He was a resident of Sudbury for thirty years before building a home in God’s Country: Georgetown, Maine.
Mr. Bolster was predeceased by his wife, Ida Mae (Ferreira) Bolster; also by his first wife, Shirley (O’Hara) Bolster; by his daughter, Barbara Ann Clifford; by his granddaughter, Amanda C. Clifford; and by his brother, Phillips Bolster.
Devoted father of Tom Bolster and his wife June of Georgetown, ME; loving grandfather of Robert J. Bolster and his wife Caitlyn White, Tommy Bolster and his wife Roseanna Manchester all of Bath, ME, Alicia Bolster of Augusta, ME, Jennifer L. Riguerio of Clinton, MA; proud great-grandfather of Maggie Bolster, Dominic Clifford-Paulino, Kayla and Daniella Riguerio, Michael Santiago, Izabella and Abigail Sowa, Anthony and Kayden Fournier. He is also survived by his sister-in-law, Betty Bolster of Naples, FL, and many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
Funeral services will be held at 11AM on Saturday, October 28th at the Duckett – J. S. Waterman & Sons Home of Memorial Tribute, 656 Boston Post Road (Route 20), Sudbury, MA. Interment will follow at New North Cemetery in Sudbury.
Calling hours will be held Friday, October 27, 2017 from 6-8PM at the funeral home.
