Robert "Bob" Paul Mailly

Bob was born in Boston, MA to Albert and Mary Mailly on June 11, 1936. He was known as an extremely hard-working individual who owned a very successful business for much of his life. Outside of work Bob was known as an avid outdoorsman. If you could not find him relaxing by his pool it was assumed he was either on his boat, flying his plane, or spending time in a tree stand at his cabin in Vermont… where his family watched the deer population decrease drastically over time.

Bob is survived by his children David Mailly and his wife Penelope of Northborough, MA; Peter Mailly and his fiancé Jainey of Halifax, MA; Douglas Mailly and his wife Theresa of Marlborough, MA; Virginia Reed and her husband Bill of Berlin, MA; Barbara Coache and her husband James of Onset, MA; Matthew Mailly of Ryegate, VT; and Albert Mailly and his wife Amanda of Elgin, SC. Bob is also survived by many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren who cherished their time with him.

Bob is preceded in death by his son Andrew Mailly and his grandson Hunter Mailly.

Visiting Hours in the Duckett Funeral Home of J.S. Waterman & Sons, 656 Boston Post Rd. (Rt. 20) Sudbury, on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 from 9:00 to 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass at Ascension Parish, 160 Concord Rd. Sudbury at 10:30 AM with Interment to follow at Wadsworth Cemetery, Sudbury.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations in Bob’s name be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.

Bob’s family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to all of the caregivers at the Whitney Place and Beaumont Rehabilitation Center for the care they have provided and compassion they have shown throughout this difficult time.
