
Rosa Jackson, a resident of Westborough for the past ten years, passed away Thursday, June, 10, 2010 at Beaumont Rehab and Skilled Nursing Center. She was 80 and the wife of the late Thomas Lee Jackson. Born in Warm Springs, Georgia December 2, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Nora (Terry) Howard. She met her future husband in 1968 and the couple married in 1975. They made their first home in Boston, later moving to Framingham in 1978. For the past ten years Mrs. Jackson had lived in Westborough. Employed for many years in private domestic work, she later took a position with the former Fabric Place in Framingham until her retirement. Known for her “Green Thumb” she was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed gardening as well as keeping a large variety of household plants. Mrs. Jackson was very active for many years in the activities of her church, The Greater Framingham Community Church in Framingham. She is survived by her two brothers; James Howard of Columbus, Georgia and Leroy Howard of Tallahassee, Florida. She also leaves her special niece and care giver, Brenda Lewis of Columbus, Georgia as well as a host of additional nieces, nephews and friends. A funeral service will be conducted Wednesday evening at 7;00 P.M. at Greater Framingham Community Church, Franklin and Park Streets, Framingham. The Reverend Doctor J. Anthony Lloyd, Pastor, will officiate. Visitation will take place from 6:00 to 7:00 prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the family cemetery in Georgia. The Duckett-J. S.
