

Tom was born on August 14, 1934, to Thomas and Catherine (Feeney) Cosgrove. He graduated from Arlington High School (1952) and Bentley School of Accounting (1954) and was a grateful Francis Ouimet Caddie Scholarship Recipient (1954).
He served in the US Army (Korean era) from 1954-1956, then had a long career in accounting and finance at multiple companies, including Raytheon, Sanders, CSPI and MIT Lincoln Labs.
A life-long learner, Tom obtained several degrees from Clark University toward the end of his finance career (BA in English in 1993, Master of Public Administration in 1996, and Master of Professional Communications in 2000). He also served for a time as a certified mediator.
Tom was a resident of Sudbury for 54 years before moving to the Residence at Paine Estate in Wayland in 2021. He was an equestrian and an avid golfer and worked as a Ranger at Wayland Country Club for many years. Tom was a Friend of Bill W. for 55 years.
Tom was predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Jean (Smith), cherished sister Anne Cosgrove and sister-in-law Patryce Cosgrove. He is survived by his elder brother John (Jack) Cosgrove with whom he shared an unbreakable bond.
Tom was the loving father of Karyn Finamore (Nick) of Sudbury, formerly of Acton, and Stephanie Morrissey (Tom) of Canton, devoted “Grampy” to Nicholas Finamore (Chrissy), Caroline Finamore Fish (Bobby) and Mary Kate, Erin, Kelly and Patrick Morrissey and the adoring great-grandfather of John Nicholas Finamore.
Visitation will be held at Duckett Funeral Home, 656 Boston Post Road, Sudbury on Tuesday, April 15th from 4 – 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ann Church (Good Shepherd Parish), 124 Cochituate Road, Wayland on Wednesday, April 16th at 10:30 AM. Burial will be private for immediate family.
In lieu of flowers, donations made by made to the Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund or the Miriam Boyd Parlin Hospice Residence.
