Charles Francis Haase died suddenly and peacefully on August 16, 2011 in Suffern, NY, while visiting his son John Michael Haase and his family. He was born April 19, 1928 in Manhattan, N.Y. He attended St. Ann’s Academy and graduated from Iona College. He served his country as a Master Sergeant in the U.S Army and was a highly decorated Korean War Veteran. He married his sweetheart Patricia A. Roach on May 1, 1954 and settled in Suffern, NY to raise their family of six children. He is preceded in death by his loving parents Kathleen Mead and Charles F. Haase Sr. and his son Dennis. He leaves his wife Patricia of 57 years of marriage; brothers James and Richard; sons, Stephen, Kevin, Patrick, John Michael and daughter Maureen. He leaves behind 14 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly. Visitation will be held at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY 10901 on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 2-4 & 7-9pm. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10am with the interment to follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
