

Felice Martiniello, 85, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2022, at the Joe Raso Hospice in New City, NY. Felice was born June 24, 1937 in Cicciano, Italy to Michelina Miele and Aniello Martiniello. He brought his family to the United States in 1970 and settled in Suffern, NY. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing bocce, making wine, gardening, and watching Napoli play professional soccer. There was nothing he couldn’t fix or grow. Before coming to Suffern, he apprenticed as a shoemaker and opened his own shoe store in Cicciano. He was a long-time employee of the Suffern Central School District as a custodian at Suffern Middle School and Suffern High School. He is survived by “la regina del mio cuore” and the love of his life, Teresa Cavezza Martiniello, to whom he was married for 60 years. He is survived by his sons and their families: Aniello and Alice Martiniello of Dumont, NJ, and their daughter Talia Fiumefreddo and her husband Tom, and their daughter Ava, as well as Dominick Martiniello and Jennifer Lundberg of Airmont, NY, and their children Emily and Dominick Martiniello, and Anders and Matilda Lewis. Felice is also survived by his siblings Pasqualina, Antonio, and Nicoletta. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother Michele.
Visiting hours will be 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, 2/17/22 at Wanamaker and Carlough at 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. A funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY on Friday, 2/18/22 (available via live stream https://sacredheartparish.org/). Entombment at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Nanuet, NY will follow.
