Florence R. Raggo

Florence R. Raggo a longtime resident of Airmont passed away on April 30, 2013 at the age of 66. Florence was born April 12, 1947 in Bronx, New York to the late Louis and Martha (Hayes) La Rocca. Locally she was a parishioner at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern where she served as a teaching assistant in Pre-K for many years. On October 31, 1970 she married Frank Raggo at St. Joseph's Church in Spring Valley. She is survived by her husband Frank R. Raggo, four children, Lisa Ferraro (Christopher), Jennifer Limbert (Christopher), Frank L. Raggo and Jeanine Raggo. Her brother William La Rocca (Angela) and sisters Laraine De Lapena and Catherine Cruz also survive her. Grandmother to Matthew Limbert, Nicholas Limbert and Sage Ferraro, as well as many nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Thursday, May 2nd from 7-9PM and Friday, May 3rd from 2-4PM and 7-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:45 AM on Saturday, May 4th at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY. Entombment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or United Hospice of Rockland.
