

Franseca Joy Morrison was born to Winston Earl Morrison and Margarita Alberta Henry on May 5th, 1973 in the Bronx of New York. Joy attended and graduated from Dewitt Clinton High School in 1991 and attended Albany State College from 1991-1993. In 1993, Joy left Albany State and started working for Health Insurance Plan of Greater New York in various administrative roles. After leaving HIP, Joy was employed at Transatlantic Re-Insurance group now known as AIG as a HR Generalist, and remained a valued and active employee until her cancer diagnosis.
Joy knew the importance of education. In her determination, she returned to school in 2003 attaining her Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration from Baruch College in the summer of 2006.
Everyone who knew Joy, knew she loved her Yankees, her Rangers, fashion magazines, cosmetics, and traveling. Most importantly, Joy absolutely loved being an Auntie and telling all who would listen, stories about her nieces and nephews. She took great pride in being a "Super Auntie". Joy absolutely loved seeing the world. She travelled as often as possible displaying her passion for new adventures, good food, and culture.
Joy was fiercely independent yet she loved her family and friends deeply. Anyone who met her, loved her instantly. Her charm and quick-witted humor helped others to be at ease as she accepted her fate. Her youthful beauty remained to the very end.
Joy went home to her Heavenly Father on October 8, 2016 after fighting a 6yr. battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother, Margarita Alberta Henry, affectionately known as Maggie. She leaves behind to celebrate her life, her father Winston Earl Morrison; her brothers Newton Campbell, Ricardo Davidson, Christopher Paul Henry; her sisters Sandra Russell and Aderlin Morrison-Faison. Beloved nephews and nieces: Erica Davidson, Brian Campbell, Sean Campbell, Genesis Faison, Brianna Davidson, Matthew Faison, Gabriella Faison, Jayson Campbell, Angelica Faison, Autumn Faison, Michael-Antoine Faison and grand niece: Sydney Allen; Along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love and miss her dearly.
