I remember seeing Jeff when visiting the Harvey household and when bringing Miriam home from church when she became unable to drive anymore.  When the weather wasn't terrible, Jeff would usually be out on the porch enjoying the outdoors and with a lot of reading material nearby.  He was always friendly and willing to have some conversation.

My heartfelt condolences to Jeff's dear family.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  You are very dear and precious people.   You will be in my prayers.

My most memorable memory of. Jeff was working on his family’s home originally built between the 1700s and 1800s  we together redid the entire roof with old fashioned shingles of wood including Dutch. Drains
  The job was more than just a job It was an adventure in learning about a man who faced more than I ever will and stuck to his family until the end.

I spent some time with him on his front porch as he spoke of his life and all his accomplishments. He enjoyed his cigarettes as he watched the deer on his property.  Jeff was truly a great guy. He will be missed by all.

I'm so SORRY to hear of JEFFS passing. He IS A GREAT AMERICAN ,father,son , brother to his family and a  Friend to many and should always be remembered for that. I got to know JEFF in 73 in a round about way through his brother KEITH,  I somehow (LOL) ended up with Jeff's VIETNAM jacket that was lying around in the classroom in SJRH. One day and thought it was a good Idea to wear it a couple days later when KEITH spotted me in it. He had worn it that day. And since then we were best friends and use to ride around with JEFF and SALZ. I basically lived at the HARVEYS house sleeping many nights on the front porch in the hammock and hanging out by the pool and  in the garage with KEITH , JEFF  and who ever , during the winters selling X-Trees . Jeff was a WALKING encyclopedia of knowledge. Cars , motors , tree cutting, guns  and his  history of ROCKLAND COUNTY. So many memories at the HARVEYS house and his  GRUMPY the 64?  NOVA he sold to  Ronny Dinado which woke me up every morning before school. I'm just so  sad to have to seen what Jeff's service to our country did to him , yrs later from AGENT ORANGE . He didnt DESERVE that as all our Military members didn't.  No matter what, JEFF was A HERO FROM SUFFERN and he represented all of us the BEST WAY ANYONE COULD. 

My deepest condolences to the Harvey family. No one will understand the bond that you, Mac, Willie and I had. Whenever I was at your house, I felt like I was home. You and your family always treated me like part of your family. Your door was always open . Mrs Harvey used to tell me not to knock....just come on in. I'll never forget you, my friend. You're probably up in heaven breaking up an argument between Mac and Salzman right now.    Until we meet again.....love you, my brother.

Thank you for all the history we made together in our lifetime as friends.  Our teenage days when we gave each other nicknames like “Harv”, “McCoy”, “Harvey Haircut”, “Coymalloy” just to name a few.  The priceless memories shared at your pool, in your greenhouse, the Mill and building engines in your garage. 
 
Thank you for your leadership and being my Comrade as we together, through the “Buddy System” in 1969, navigated our Marine Corp boot camp training in Paris Island, S. C., Vietnam and all our training. You being awarded the ultimate accomplishment to carry our Platoon #2099 Guidon, and also being awarded PFC for your outstanding achievement in all phases of Marine Corp boot camp.  Also our infantry training in Camp Lejeune, N.C. where you led our platoon on forest marches and many other training challenges.  Together we are one.  So, So Proud of you Marine….OORAH!

Your caring and concern as a person is unmatched.  I will always cherish our friendship and hold it dear to my heart.  You are one in a million and I am proud to say my Best Friend always.

I pray for you Jeff today and always.  May your road rise up to meet you, may the winds be always at your back, the rains fall soft upon your face; and until we meet again, may God bless you Jeff.

Sue and I love you like family.  Our hearts are heavy as we navigate his loss.  We pray for our Lord to wrap his arms around you all with comfort and strength as you shed your tears and start to heal your broken hearts.
