

Jennifer Leigh Taylor, 53 of Chestnut Ridge, NY passed away on June 29, 2012 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her loving and devoted partner of 22 years, Rosemary Law, her stepfather William Taylor of Pennsylvania, sisters Christine Topnick and Stephanie Nodelman, brother William Taylor, beloved nephew Donald Harris and niece Shannon Topnick.
She was born on January 12, 1959 to the late Joan Stanley and Chester Howe in Englewood, NJ. She grew up in Midland Park and attended Hackensack High School followed by Hackensack University Medical Center School of Radiology. She became a Radiologic Technologist and devoted her life to that profession. She worked at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY for 32 years starting as a radiologic technologist advancing to the Director of Radiology. Additionally, she worked at Helen Hayes Hospital and Ramapo Radiology. Wherever she worked, she lived by the open door policy, being there for all people at all times.
Even after suffering a devastating diagnosis, she continued to live life to its fullest enjoying trips with family and friends to her favorite Cape Cod and Key West. We know that she touched the lives of everyone who she ever came in contact with. She was known for her strength, her spirit, but most of all her willingness to help each and every person. She will be deeply missed by many loving relatives, friends and co-workers.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-9 at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Route 59, Suffern, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to United Hospice of Rockland at hospiceofrockland.org or the American Cancer Society.
