Johnathan Edward Peltz

Jonathan Edward Peltz, of Spring Valley, passed away on March 5, 2026. He was born on January 14, 1949, in Hackensack, New Jersey, the son of Wilfred and Ruth (Feldman) Peltz. His Hebrew name being Yonathan Yitzchok Ben Volf Leib.

Jonathan enjoyed working in the school bus industry for a number of years ending his career working for Student Bus Company in Spring Valley. Over the years Jonathan earned a variety of certifications including being Accident investigation, 19A examiner and a School Bus Driver Instructor for the State of New York.

He was a proud member of the Rockland Hook & Ladder from 1967 to 1990. Jon had three things he loved collecting and those were stamps, coins and Hess trucks. Above all else, Jonathan loved his family and friends more than anything.

He is survived by his life partner, Barbara McIntosh; his brothers, Alan Peltz, wife Diane and Fred Peltz,wife Beverly, nieces and nephews, Brian, Jennifer, and Russell; and nine grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, March 9, 2026 from 3-7PM, at Wanamaker and Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Rt. 59 Suffern, NY 10901. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Jewish Community Center Cemetery, 220 Brick Church Road Spring Valley, NY 10977.

Jonathan was an avid supporter of the American Cancer Society.
