Joyce Ann Corts Squilla

Joyce Ann Squilla of Chestnut Ridge died June 17, 2012 at age 58. Born February 26, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY to Henry and Marie (Cavalari) Corts. Survived by her beloved husband Dennis Squilla, loving sons Michael D. Squilla (wife Kathryne), Jonathan Squilla (wife Natalia) and Jeremy Squilla, cherished grandchildren Aiden, Victoria and Lena, caring father Henry Corts, devoted siblings Henry Corts, Jr., Wayne Corts (wife Carla), Lauren Peragine (husband John) and Gary Corts (wife Hilary), a sister in law Debbie Cipriani (husband Michael), brothers in law Anthony Squilla (wife Lori), Robert Squilla (wife Dawn), Michael Squilla (wife Jen). The family would like to recognize those friends who have lovingly cared for Joyce over the last year and a half: Carla Geiger, Lois Aferiat, and Karen Azcuy. The family would like to extend special thanks to the “Mopena Sisters” Jodi Forcino and Debbie Cipriani for their unconditional support and love, and to mother-in-law Lillian “Nana” Squilla for providing constant care. And to Dr. Robert Wolf at the MD Anderson Medical Center for giving Joyce the will and the strength to fight. Predeceased by her mother Marie Corts. Visitation Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177 Route 59 in Suffern. Funeral Service Thursday 10:30am at Good Shepard Lutheran Church in Pearl River followed by an Entombment at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY.
