

Wisly was born on October 18, 1944 to the late Francois Agesilas Alce and Renee Clesca in St. Michel De L'Atalaye, Haiti.
He was educated at Ecole Nationale Calvaire and later on completed Veterinary Studies at Hôpital Albert Schweitzer. He was a practicing Veterinarian for a number of years and grocery store owner in the community.
Wisly was an avid gardener and loved tending to his farm. He lived life through simple pleasures, watching soccer, chatting and spending time with family and friends. He had a generous heart with an optimistic spirit and he will be dearly missed by many.
Wisly is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Marie Jose Joseph; beloved sons, Roger Alce, Stevenson Alce, Wesner Chenet, Clerveau Alce, Chesly Alce, Wisly Jr. Alce, Emmanuel Alce, and another son named Roger. His caring brothers and sisters, Jean-Baptiste Franklin Alce, Rose Gertha Delatour, Francois Urbain Alce, Luc Willy Alce, Laudana Alce, and Jean Rigaud Alce. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers Wilfred, Bravais, Jean Astrel and one sister, Mimerose.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 9, 2016 from 6pm to 9pm at the WANAMAKER 7 CARLOUGH FUNERAL HOME, 177 Route 59 Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, December 10th at St. Joseph’s Church in Spring Valley, NY. Burial will follow at Brick Church Cemetery in New Hempstead, NY.
