Marianne Eckert

Marianne Eckert from Suffern, NY born on 2/6/31 to John and Ruth Vissers in Manhattan passed away peacefully on October 20, 2021, at the age of 91 at Sapphire Nursing home where she had resided for the past year.

Before retiring Marianne was a bank manager with Union State Bank in Monsey, NY and earned her bachelors from Mercy College in business. She was an avid traveler who ventured off to Italy, South America, Germany, Netherlands and Egypt just to name a few. Also loved reading and food which most schedules were planned around. She had a great sense of adventure and wanted to share that with her grandchildren whom she adored.

She is survived by her children Maggie McGuiness and her husband Kevin McGuiness of Encinitas, CA, Bob Eckert of Sturgeon Bay, WI, Ruth Chiocchi, her husband Jeff Chiocchi of Westtown, NY and her Sister Joan Sims of Tinton Falls. Also survived by her beloved grandchildren who she cherished dearly, Daniel Kent, Lance Kent, Gwen Kent, Samuel Eckert, Nicola Chiocchi and lastly her first great-grandchild whom she never met but know she will be watching over now and forever Gracelyn Eckert.

A visitation and a memorial service will be held at Wanamaker and Carlough 177 Rt 59 Suffern, NY 10901 on Saturday November 13 at 1:00.
