Mildred Vinti

Mildred was born on November 8, 1928 to the late Joseph and Viola (Lovenrosen) Bernstein in New York, NY.

Mildred was a 63 year resident of Suffern, NY. Mildred worked as a switchboard operator prior to motherhood and resumed her career as a corporate receptionist retiring from IBM in 1986. Mildred loved sewing, crafting and reading. With her husband, they did extensive cross country travel. Together they loved their country home in the Poconos for 20 years. In later years she was active in the Suffern Seniors. Mildred adored her granddaughter and always loved being in her presence. Mildred loved being a grandma, great grandma and was looking forward to the birth of her 2nd great granddaughter in July.

Mildred is survived by her loving son, Steven and his life partner Lesley Forman; granddaughter Jessica Derbyshire, husband James and great granddaughter Adrienne. Mildred is predeceased by her loving husband of 42 years Julio (Giulio) Vinti.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home, 177 Rt. 59, Suffern, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 am following the visitation at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, NY. Burial will take place after the Mass at Ascension Cemetery in Airmont, NY.
