

Norman Kenneth Goldstein, a resident of Suffern, NY, passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on August 16, 1938, in the Bronx, NY, Norman was the beloved son of the late Sam and Sally (Elkin) Goldstein.
Norman dedicated his entire working career to the Carpenters Union, where he worked as a floor mechanic for many years. A hardworking and talented craftsman, he took immense pride in the work he did and the life he built for his family. Although he retired in his late 50s, Norman never stopped working with his hands. He was incredibly creative and always found joy in building, fixing, and creating things.
Outside of work, Norman had many passions that brought him happiness throughout his life. He loved music, enjoyed fishing, and was devoted to staying active at the gym. Above all, Norman will be remembered for his unforgettable personality and incredible sense of humor. He was witty, quick with a comeback, and had a way of making everyone around him laugh. His sharp humor, warmth, and presence lit up every room he entered, and the memories he created with family and friends will be cherished forever.
He was predeceased by his parents, Sam and Sally Goldstein. Norman is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Hedy, his son, Brad and his wife Wendy, his daughter, Holli and her husband Geoff; his five beloved grandchildren, Brandon (Mary), Jake (Angela), Sam (Sarah) Jonathan and Jared; his cherished great-granddaughter, Sofia and his sister Linda Thompson.
The family will gather privately to celebrate and honor Norman’s Life.
