Raymond T. Schwedfeger

He was the only child of Alfred and Genevieve Schwedfeger born on November 7, 1924 on Staten Island, NY. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and worked as an electrical and civil engineer and later as an executive in the oil industry until his retirement.

We celebrate his life as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Raymond was predeceased by his first wife Ruth (Lehner) Schwedfeger in 1984.

He is survived by his wife Joan (Brady) Schwedfeger of 25 years, his children - Ellen Richard, Paul (Donna), Jane (David) Choy, Ann (Edward) O’Brien, his grandchildren - Heidi, Matthew, Ryan, Lily, Jordan, Nicholas, Adam, Bridget and Maddie, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Raymond is also survived by step children Dan, Pat (Peggy), John (Myra) and Kate (John) England; 14 step grandchildren and 2 step great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 29th from 4-8PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home at 177 Route 59 Suffern, NY. Funeral mass will be held at 10AM Thursday, March 1st at The Church of the Presentation at 271 West Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, NJ. Burial will immediately follow at St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Nanuet, NY.
