Sally Ann Stroff

Sally Ann Stroff (Devins) of Mahwah, formerly of Wallington, NJ passed away on December 6, 2021 at the age of 83. Sally was born to Hugh and Sarah (Madelyn) Devins on February 18, 1938 in New York City, and grew up there with her seven brothers and sisters, who predeceased her. She graduated from Cathedral High School and attended Hunter College. She later taught grammar school at Holy Name parish on Amsterdam Avenue in NYC, where she was also married.

Sally lived in Wallington, NJ for over 40 years while raising her family and building beautiful, lasting friendships. She was a very active member of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church and grammar school. She then moved to Suffern, NY, where she lived for 15 years before moving to the Brandywine Senior Living in Mahwah, NJ where she was a well-loved member of the community. Sally loved all the wonderful adventures and times with her children, grandchildren and their extended families, but was equally happy working on a puzzle or watching Jeopardy with a friend.

Sally is survived by her loving children Susan Giella and her husband John of Mahwah, NJ, Michael Stroff and his wife Debra of Hoboken, NJ, Christina McGuigan and her husband Chris of Rumson, NJ and Sally Ann Cimmino and her husband Daniel of Chula Vista, CA, and daughter in law Laurel Stroff of Hillsborough, NJ. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Vincent, Nicholas, Lauren, Madelyn, Tarah, Louis, Charlotte, Gabriella, and Joseph, and by serval nieces and nephews. Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband John M. Stroff, Sr. and also by her sons John M. Stroff, Jr. and Lawrence Stroff.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from 2-4PM & 6-9PM at Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Wednesday, December 15th at Sacred Heart Church, Suffern, NY with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Saddle Brook, NJ.
