

Theodore Matthew Danilchick was born to Mary, nee Fondak, and Matthew Danilchick in Bayonne, New Jersey.He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and was assigned to the USS Leon APA-48 and participated in 5 invasions - Saipan, Palali, Pelelilu, Leyte and Linguayen Gulf. He graduated from Seton Hall University with a Bachelors Degree in Business. He worked for The Associated Press, NYC for 38 years in the Foreign Dept. as an Accountant. In 1956 he married Nancy, nee Dupnak and they had 3 children. In 1963 they relocated to Rockland County, NY and joined St. John the Baptist Russian Orthodox Church, Spring Valley, NY where he served as pastTreasurer/Auditor for several years and sang in the church choir. He was a member of the Capella Russian Male Chorus for over 35 years. The group performed at various events including concerts, weddings, etc. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Nancy, nee Dupnak, of Suffern, his children: Robert of Suffern; Lauren Etzel and her husband William of Mahwah, NJ; Theodore and his wife Lorelei of Rutland, VT, and grandchild, Adelle; his brothers; Eugene and his wife Judy of Rutherford, NJ, Peter and his wife Tanya of Oakton, VA and several nieces and nephews. He is pre-deceased by a brother Walter of Bayonne, NJ. Visitation will be held at the Wanamaker & Carlough Funeral Home 177Route 59, Suffern, NY on Sat. June 4th 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Sun. June 5th 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. A funeral service will held on Monday, June 6th at 10 am at St. John the Baptist R.O. Church 40 West Street, Spring Valley, NY. Interment Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Brick Church Road, New Hempstead, NY.
