Yves Frantz Assade was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti on September 7, 1952 and was one of five children to Charles Assad and Henrietta Monsanto. He went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Friday, September 8, 2017.
Fanfan Ti Charles was The man, The myth, and The legend. Men wanted to be him and women wanted to be with him. He was a master chef who could whip up amazing dishes such as Mais Moulu with Hareng Saur, Rice and Beans, and Shepherd’s Pie. When it came to auto mechanics, Fanfan was one of the best to ever do it and he was known for being the junkyard king. He was also great at making people feel appreciated and loved by his playful jokes. Fanfan loved to tell stories that vividly depicted his love for life. We loved being in his presence and will always cherish every moment we had with him.
Fanfan would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, a sort of an offer you can’t refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. His new mission takes him to a wonderful place where he will be socializing, dancing, and traveling to his heart’s content. Music, delicious food, anecdotes, laughter and love are guaranteed. He left detailed instructions to his wife Myriam Assade of 38 years, children, grandchildren, family, and friends to celebrate his mission here, which has now been complete. His kind heart, charming personality, and quick wit will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Assad and his younger brother Gerald Assad. He is survived by his mother Henrietta Assad, his devoted and loving wife Myriam Assade, siblings Ghislaine (Nicolas) Duvert, Denise Assad, Nicole (Jim) Watson, Monique (Jean-Renee) Chamblain, Frantzie Darisme, Joseph Narchet, and Gary (Claudie) Assad. He leaves his beloved children: Yori (Joel) Lucien of Raleigh, NC; Yvrantz (Lorraine) Assade of Pomona, NY; Myrantz (Erica) Assade of Irvington, NY; Dexter (Laura) Assade of Lynn, Ma; Tracy (Vladimir) Monel of Spring Valley, NY; Frantz, Bianca, and Henzley Millien of Haverstraw, NY. He also leaves his fifteen grandchildren that he adored: Kayla, Elyzha, Olivia, Delyanna, MariahJade, Xavier, Victoria, Joel II, Natalia, Madison, Gabrielle, Ophelia, Vladimir II, Patrick, and Tristan; three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law, many cousins, nieces, nephews and special

“God shall wipe all tears from their eyes and there shall be no more death, nor crying; neither shall there be anymore pain, for the former things are passed away. Lord, now lettest thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word. Amen.”
