Dear Family. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of my friend Al. I think of our fishing trips and our golf outings. He was such a dear friend. We are lucky in our lives to have the opportunity to meet a man like my friend Al. I continue to think of each of you and pray for your health and well being. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful man.

My dear, sweet cousin, Albert, you are already missed.  We may not have kept up with each other but you always were a part of my life.  We had great timesgrowing up.  I remember you coming to spend the summer with Abuelita Prisca and we kids would spend the day outdoors.  We would go fishing and walk the railroad tracks!
I remember you and Verna along with Little Al visiting my mom, your Tia Luisa.  She loved making those tamales for you.

Albert you were the kindest, nonpretensious  person ever.  You had a loving and peaceful spirit.  May you be rejoicing in your eternal home.

Dear Verna, Al Jr., and family:  

Linda and I were so shocked and saddened to hear of Al’s passing!

Al was a great boss and mentor who I admired and respected.  He was always warm and kind to all without regard to their rank in the corporate hierarchy.  Al expertly navigated the stresses, politics, and bureaucracy along the rungs of the corporate ladder without erosion to his true self and his values, always remaining down-to-earth, open, fun, and approachable with a great sense of humor.

He was a skilled leader and manager with many responsibilities, yet was always ready to listen, guide, and advise.  No matter how busy Al was, if I came to his office with an issue, he would look up from his work, flash his welcoming smile, and that comforting, confident voice of his would say, “Whatcha got?” or “C’mon in!”

I will always be grateful to “Big Al” for the opportunities and guidance he provided during my final years at Shell, enabling me to retire early when both of my parents developed health issues.

Al enjoyed a satisfying life of proud achievements and good fortune with his loving wife and son, and it is heartbreaking that his time ended way too soon.  He will be missed by all who were lucky enough to know him or to cross paths with him!

Verna, Al Jr., and family – we hope that a lifetime of good memories of this beloved and exceptional man will ease your sorrow during this difficult time.

I'm so sorry for your loss.
I worked for Al at Shell.  He was a great boss.

Al was a wonderful man - honest, integrity, smart, hard worker and all round good guy. I have known Al for almost 50 years. We have worked together, for each other and best of all good friends. He was always my go to guy on a lot of subjects. I LOVE him and his beautiful wife very much. We all started our careers at Shell Oil company. I am sorry that I just found out about his passing.

Al was a wonderful mentor to me as I transitioned into the world of system integration and application development.  His love of people and willingness to help others was easy to see.  Rest in peace Al and may your love continue to bless us.

Disbelief and sadness when I heard of Al's passing.  Al was the best friend that a friend could have.  I never saw Al lose his temper or get angry.  He loved golf and all of us "golfing buddies."  He loved his family more than anything.  After I hurt my back in 2013 he would call ever so often checking on me and told me he was praying that I would find a doctor to fix the back so I could get back to golfing.  He will be greatly missed!  Prayers for Verna and Albert, Jr. and family.
Al, may you rest in peace. 

I have been friends with Al for around 40 years. We have watched our children grow up and marry. We have fished, played golf, traveled, and just hung out. I have never seen a more calmer and caring gentleman. He was a shining example for me. A veteran, patriot, father, husband, and fiercely loyal friend. He leaves a giant void in lots of folks life and heart. He will be sorely missed. I’m sure he is checking on everyone who has gone before us and will have a tee time, golf trip, and fishing outing all lined up in short order that will play out flawlessly. 

I worked with Al at Shell, and remember him as a wonderful person. I still use the pitch mark repairer he gave me from his visit to the Masters. Rest In Peace Al, and thanks for your guidance and friendship when we worked together. 

I knew Al since the mid-1990s. We worked together for many years and played golf together many times. He was a wonderful person and I treasure our friendship. He will be missed.  My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends.

I had the pleasure of working with Al in Shell Trading. A sweet man of class and widely respected leader. RIP my friend. 

Al service his country.  He loved his longhorns.  He loved his golf and planning big golf trips with his friends.  A great family man.

He will be missed by us all but has a legacy in Albert Jr.  

Mr. Al was a great guy to play golf with. He had wonderful sense of humor and a very high level of respect for those who played the game that he loved, especially when they played it with decency and with order. I am sure he left many good friends on this earth. I for one will truly miss him. May God bless his family in this time of grief.
