Annamma Philip, January 11,1947 - March 23, 2024
Announcing the passing of Annamma Philip (Lalitha), a cherished individual whose life journey touched many.
Born in Payippad, Kerala, Lalitha was raised in Chengannur and moved to Karakkad when she was 10. Though her passion initially inclined towards becoming a Malayalam professor, she discovered her calling in nursing. Completing her nursing education in Hyderabad, she later embarked on a fulfilling career that took her from Delhi to the USA.
Starting her career journey in the U.S in 1975, Lalitha's compassionate spirit found expression in her work at various hospitals, including Englewood and Cook County Hospitals in Chicago, and then moving on to Twelve Oaks, Memorial Hermann Southwest, and Sweeny Community Hospital in Houston. Beyond her professional endeavors, Lalitha's joys included nurturing her garden, caring for animals, and indulging in culinary delights. A true food enthusiast, she savored every flavor and found solace in watching movies and exploring the pages of the Bible.
Despite facing health challenges, Lalitha's resilience and love for life continued to shine. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and warmth that will be forever cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her. May her soul find eternal peace.
A celebration of life for Annamma will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 5:00 PM at The Settegast-Kopf Company@Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, Texas 77478, followed by a reception at 6:00 PM.
