Here are some memories of times spent with Betty:


Riding in the  back of Uncle Fletcher's Pickup out in the pasture.

First time visiting the new Astrodome as well as the downtown Coliseum with the retractable roof.

Visit Uncle Fletcher's Hardware store to view the live fish in the basement, where there was a stream of water!  

Early family reunions at the homes of Kahaneks, Buceks, Hoyers, Scibas, and the Otts, were wonderful for the children...and believe me, we did have "fun times"!

Dottie and I have so many fond memories of times spent with Betty and Dick.  We will miss her.

Dear Conroy family - our heartfelt condolences on the death of Betty (or Mary Elizabeth as we always knew her).  You (and we) have all lost a wonderful, loving, caring person.  We will always remember her.  She had such a fantastic relationship with my mother, and her memories of Betty were always fun, powerful and full of love and respect.  So are our memories of Betty and Dick when they passed through Colorado and stopped to visit.  I will always cherish her kindness and support these many years. We remember her fondly in the years when she came with the children to Karnes City before going to Bogota, and then for so many years after that with the family gatherings. I will always remember the many times Betty and you, Dick came to visit and to help out during times of significant transition, for me and my children. Whether it was loss of a spouse or downsizing and moving to a smaller home, your presence, good company, and helpful tasks were greatly appreciated. And Betty, ever the great cook, offered warm hospitality to all of us extended Conroy family, when we came from "up North" for reunions, a special 80th birthday for brother, Bill, or even for your own 50th wedding anniversary. Dear Dick, I'm so sorry to hear about Betty. She was a wonderful person and always brightened everyone's day. She was a joy to be around and I always looked forward to seeing her.
