Bridget Dean Wilson-Okafor

BRIDGET DEAN WILSON-OKAFOR, age 33, of Sugar Land, Texas, passed away Thursday, September 5, 2013, at her home. She was born April 13, 1980, in Pineville, Louisiana, to Thadio and Jane Eva Baptiste Wilson. Bridget graduated from Marksville High School in Marksville, LA in 1998, Dillard University in New Orleans, LA with the Class of 2002, and received a Medical Degree from Boston University in 2007. She married Nnaemeka Okafor in 2007. Bridget practiced as a Family Physician and was very passionate about helping patients and educating about women’s health. In her spare time, she enjoyed woodcut printmaking, traveling, and spending time with her family, children, and friends.

Bridget was preceded in death by her father, Thadio Wilson. She is survived by her husband, Nnaemeka Okafor; her two children, Ifunanya (2 yrs) and Ifeanyi (8 months); step-daughter, Lindsey Okafor (11 yrs); mother, Jane Eva Wilson; brothers, Shannon Wilson and Vincent Gonzales; sisters, Lorraine Boulden and Delores Gonzales; and many other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, September 13, 2013, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit), with the Rev.Walter August, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow at Morton Cemetery, in Richmond, TX.
