

Cheryl Lynn Settle age 76, passed away on Saturday March 21, 2026, peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 26, 1949 in Houston, Texas to Vera and Jack Snow, who instilled in her the values of faith, hard work, and devotion to family that she carried throughout her life.
She grew up in Houston and attended Sam Rayburn High School , where she formed friendships that lasted a lifetime. After graduation, she continued her education at San Jacinto College. It was there that she met the love of her life, William (Bill), beginning a partnership that would bless them both for decades.
She converted to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was baptized by Bill in 1969.
She married Bill on August 26, 1970 in the Salt Lake City, Utah LDS Temple. With unwavering dedication, she supported him while he attended the University of Houston’s engineering program. Early in their marriage, they lived in several places as Bill began his career, each move adding new memories and experiences to their growing family story.
In 1981, they settled in Bleiblerville, Texas, a place that became a cherished chapter in their lives. Life there was quaint, full of simple joys, and remembered fondly by all who lived it with her.
She was an exceptional cook and baker, known for her delicious cakes and baked goods that often found their way into county fairs and family gatherings. Cooking was one of her greatest expressions of love, and she delighted in preparing meals that brought everyone together. In 1991, the family moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where she continued to create a warm and loving home.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served faithfully in many capacities over the years. She had a strong and abiding testimony of Jesus Christ, and she made sure her family knew of her deep love for her Heavenly Father and her Savior. Her faith was a guiding light in her life and a gift she passed on to her children.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved daughters Brenda Jean Settle and Lydia Marie Laws.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; her sons: Scott (Chelsea) Settle of Portland, Texas and Clayton (Rachel) Settle of Rosenberg, Texas; her daughter Amy (Tim) Angell of Carmine, Texas; her sister Beverly Lowak of New Braunfels, Texas.
She is also survived by her grandchildren: Cheryl ( James) Powell, Matthew, Thomas and Samantha Angell, Will, Emma and Eli Laws, Charlotte and Oliver Settle, Beau Settle, Averie Scott, Adelynn Benoit. She is also survived by her great grandchildren: Henry Powell and Scarlett Angell all of whom will forever treasure her kindness, her strength, and the love she so freely gave.
Her legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew her, and her family finds comfort in knowing she is reunited with loved ones who passed before her.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital, the care staff at Agape Heritage Home, and the nurses of Prime Choice Hospice for their care of mom in her final days.
All are invited to attend a Memorial Service at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 139 Pecan Park Dr. Rosenberg, Texas on Saturday, March 28, 2026. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service, with the service beginning at 3:30 pm. The viewing and burial were held privately prior to the memorial service
