CHESTER PODBIELSKI, born in Schenectady, NY, on January 15, 1931, passed away on November 13, 2014. He married his beloved wife, Catherine Chambers, on September 25, 1949. Chester was a longtime employee of General Electric and a longtime member of the 109th NY Air National Guard. Chester cherished life and loved to travel. Chester was a long term resident of Schenectady, NY, before retiring to Hanover, PA, and then moved to Sugar Land, TX, where he was a resident for the past seventeen years.
Chester was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine. He is survived by his four children, Janet Bedian of Ballston Lake, NY, Wayne (Christine) of Ballston Lake, NY, Gary (Jeanette) of Missouri City, TX, and Nancy (Dennis) of Schaghiticoke, NY. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and significant other, Sue Cox.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 21, 2014, at Saratoga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Chester’s memory be made to the Volunteer Fund @ Houston Hospice, www.houstonhospice.org.
