David was an owner and operator of his own trucking service for 30 plus years and enjoyed one year of retirement. He was also a Deacon with Wood Forest Presbyterian since 1980 in Houston, TX. David was a dedicated family man.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; Mary K. and Calvin C. Thayer, and his sister Carol.
David is survived by his wife, Frances C. Thayer; his daughter Amie Cavender (Jason); and his daughter Michele Shirley (Jason); his sister-in-law Laura Prince (Mike); his grandson Joseph, his granddaughter Haley, his granddaughter Cora and his grandson David.
