Ellen Harris Yzaguirre

Ellen Rae (Harris) Yzaguirre gained her angel wings in the early morning hours of March 8th, 2025. She was 72 years old. She was born in Springfield, Illinois, then moved several times in her life and ultimately ended up in Needville, TX.

Though Ellen’s health was declining for years, few people knew she struggled with illness. Her joy for life, love for her family and strong-willed spirit kept her pushing through the pain to live and enjoy life.

Ellen grew up with a passion for gymnastics, horses and sports. She loved all animals but her true loves were her horses, dogs and cats. Her loving smile, laugh and silliness were contagious and will remain with us always. She was the most amazing woman, hard worker, loving and supportive mother, best Grandmother and recently Great Grandmother (Nana). Not a day went by where she didn't talk about how much her family meant to her; family was arguably her most important achievement in her life.

Ellen’s memory will be forever cherished by her loving and devoted Husband, Mario Yzaguirre, her five Children, Edward (Patty) Davila, Christoper Davila, Herbert Jr Davila, Tabitha (Aaron) Jenkins, and Alexis (Mario) Martinez her twelve Grandchildren and her two Great Grandchildren, her Brother, Ralph D. Harris and her Sisters, Becky Simental and Mary Harkness. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Ola Jean and Ralph Harris.
