

Eric Joseph Williamson, loving and devoted son, brother, uncle, and friend to many passed away of natural causes at his home in Bellaire, Texas on Saturday, June 24, 2023. He was born in Houston, Texas on May 2,1983 to Eric and Carolyn. He attended St. Francis de Sales School and graduated from Strake Jesuit College Preparatory in 2001 where he held the kicker position on the football team. Eric graduated on the Dean’s Honor List from Texas Christian University in 2005 with a Bachelor of Business Administration. Eric was a proud TCU alumnus and attended many Horned Frogs football games post-graduation.
Upon graduation, Eric was employed at Bechtel Corporation and continued on in his career at Shell Oil as a Senior Cost Engineer. His job at Shell took him to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for four years to build their new plastics plant and most recently back to Houston to oversee a new portfolio of projects. Eric embraced being a team manager and found great joy in mentoring and building up his colleagues.
Eric had many hobbies including fishing, hiking, golfing or anything that included the outdoors. One of Eric’s favorite summer activities was tubing the Guadalupe River with his many friends. His most recent hobby was traveling with his love, Susan Beckley. Their first adventure was to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and their last was to England and Scotland. They created a list for many future adventures.
Eric was greatly loved and admired by his immediate family and his huge circle of friends. His kindness and fun energy will never be forgotten, and his sweet nature will be missed. Eric loved life and he loved showing those around him how to love life too.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, Eric F. Williamson, Jr., his grandparents, especially his dear grandmother Elsie Pavlik, and his sister Pam Houston.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Pavlik Williamson; his sister, Lori Merrill; a nephew, Travis Holt, and nieces, Hannah Houston and Amanda Merrill.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, July 6 at 11:00 am at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, followed by graveside service on Friday, July 7 at 11:00 am at St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Weimar, Texas.
