Erick received his Eagle Scout in 2011. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2019 from the University of Houston - Victoria. During his time at school, his team won 1st place at the 36th UHV Bachelor of Business Administration Case Conference. Smart and determined, in 2020 he created his own business which he managed until his passing. He loved Star Wars (the originals), James Bond, music, cats, working out and was a strong believer in the 2nd Amendment.
Erick is survived by his uncle, George and his wife Mary Jane and their daughter, Mary Kate; his uncle, Randy and his children, Lauren, Justin and Morgan; and his cats, Tobi & Emil. He is preceded in death by his mother, Donna; his grandparents, Mimi and Paw-Paw; his aunt, Jan; his cousin and best friend, Trey; and his cat that started it all, OJ.
Erick was loved by his family, his friends, his mother's circle of friends - who had become family - and the parents, leaders and scouts of Troop 148.
The time Erick spent among us was too short, but he will live on in so many people. His family would like to thank everyone for their outpouring of love and compassion.
A memorial service in celebration of Erick's life will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 3, 2023 at the Settegast-Kopf Co. at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit). In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Erick’s memory be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention or Alley Cat Allies.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.settegastkopf.com for the Pharis family.
