

Ann was born in Hugo, Oklahoma on June 13, 1944 to Fred and Willie Geneva (Carpenter) Green. Her family moved to Hutchinson, KS when she was young and this is where she spent her early years. Ann met her future husband, Edwin “ Ed” Reece while in high school. Ann graduated from Hutchinson High School.
Ed and Ann were married on April 20, 1962. They moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1962 where she gave birth to Robert “Bobby” and Lori. In 1966 she moved to Texas and lived in Pasadena and Deer Park before moving to Missouri City in 1986.
Ann was mainly a wife and mother but worked at various jobs to help pay for college for the kids. She had many interests including motorcycling, camping, bowling, photography, bicycling, and painting. Traveling was also something Ann enjoyed with her family over the years. Ann and Ed celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in 2012 with a cruise to Alaska. Ann was very social and had many friends from across the country and some outside of the U.S. that she corresponded with.
Ann is survived by her husband, Edwin V. Reece (Missouri City TX); Her children, son Robert (Bobby) Reece and his wife Julie Reece (Grigar) (Cedar Creek TX), and daughter Lori Reece and her husband Douglas McElroy (Houston TX), her younger brother Bruce Green and his wife Madeline (Lenexa), grandsons Cory Reece and Carson Reece, and step granddaughters Cassie Dutton and her husband Heath, Alicia Gilbert and her husband Dwain, and Brittany Matthews and her husband Drew; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and great grandchildren.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Austin Green and Willie Geneva Green, and her younger brother Michael “Mike” Wayne Green.
A visitation will be held at The Settegast-Kopf Company @ Sugar Creek Funeral Home (15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77478) on Monday, October 18, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Followed by the service from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A light lunch will be served from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Procession to the burial will leave Sugar Land at 2:00 p.m. Burial will occur at 3:00 p.m. at the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery (6900 Lawndale Street, Houston, TX 77023).
