Gordon was a loving, devoted and loyal husband, father and grandfather, blessed with three children and five grandchildren; with one on the way. He was a faithful and active Christian, an avid Longhorn fan, a travel enthusiast and a keen bridge player.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin in 1957, Gordon practiced as a Certified Public Accountant and partner for S. A. Lowther & Company. He served in several other finance roles, including Chairman of the Finance Department at First Christian Church and on the Board of Directors for Texas Gulf Bank.
He was passionate about his family, friends, church and his beloved Longhorns. When not in Houston, you could find Gordon traveling across the country with family and friends or vacationing at his home in Estes Park, Colorado.
A true friend to all of those he met, Gordon will be remembered for his loyalty, strength and faith.
