Joey Lamb

Alva “Joey” Lamb (née Mayes) passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on Sunday, March 19th, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the age of 69. Joey was born on June 2, 1947 in Houston, Texas to Herman Alvis Mayes and Goldie Vaudine Mayes. She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Michael Lamb, Father, Herman Alvis Mayes, Brother, Larry Mayes and Sister, Jackie Trusty. Joey is survived by her daughter, Misty Lynn Lamb, son, Joe Michael Lamb, Jr, Mother, Vaudine Mayes, Sister, Sandra Wason and Brother in Law, Mike Wason, Brother, Alton Mayes and Sister in Law, Joanne Mayes along with numerous nieces and nephews. She graduated from Alvin High School in 1965 and married her husband, Joe Michael Lamb of almost 40 years in 1969. Joey enjoyed hiking, camping, nature and traveling. She was beautiful inside and out and was always there for anyone who needed her. We will always carry her memory in our hearts. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 24th, 2017 from 5:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at The Settegast Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek located at 15015 Southwest Freeway in Sugar Land, Texas 77478. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 11:00 A.M with Celebrant, Diane Landon officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice in Joey’s memory.
