Juanita Fluty, age 86, of Richmond, Texas, passed away on May 9, 2026. Born June 3, 1939, in Kermit, West Virginia, Juanita will be remembered as a beloved and cherished presence—steadfast in faith, generous in spirit, and kind-hearted in all the quiet ways that matter most.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Landon Fluty, following 62 years of marriage; her parents, Dennis and Anna Marcum; her daughter, Lisa Ann Fluty; her sisters, Christine, Niza, Grace, and Stella; and her brothers, Ted, Hubert, Frank, Donald, and James.
Juanita is survived by her daughter, Denise (Ray) Green of the Richmond, TX area; her son, Ray (Tina) Fluty of the Westlake, LA area; her sisters, Beulah and Ann; her grandchildren, Krystal Green, Michael Green, Daniel (Rosalynne) Fluty, Patrick (Jackie) Fluty, Nicholas Fluty; and her great-grandchildren, Ezra Fluty, Addilynne Fluty, and Malakai Fluty.
Throughout her life, Juanita found joy in simple, meaningful pursuits—tending to gardening, spending time reading, and embracing time with family. Her faithful devotion was also reflected in her regular attendance at Maplewood First Baptist Church.
