Dr. Lise Marie Beard

Houston, TX

Age 55, died Friday, November 27, 2020 at Memorial Hermann Hospital Sugarland after a long illness. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Catherine of Sienna Episcopal Church.

Lise was born in Pasadena, Texas on June 3, 1965. She graduated from Westbury High School in 1983. She attended Houston Baptist University on a full academic scholarship, where she double majored, earning Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry. Lise earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston. While attending medical school, she simultaneously served her country as a medical army reservist, spending summers stationed at various bases including the Presidio in San Francisco and Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio.

During her career as a family medicine doctor, Dr. Beard practiced with Christus Health, PairADocs, Shell Oil Company, International SOS in Tianjin, China, US Healthworks, and Concentra Occupational Health.

Lise loved fastpitch softball, fishing and crabbing, and she shared this enthusiasm with her daughters. She enjoyed new experiences and traveled extensively throughout China. She loved Long Island, New York the most, especially spending time with old friends and creating new memories there.

Lise was preceded in death by her father, William James Beard. She is survived by her mother, Judith Ann Beard; her daughters, Emily, Elizabeth, and Katherine Davidson and their mother, Alice Davidson; her sisters, Deborah Skolaski and Jamie Seymour; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, grandnieces, and grandnephews.
