

Mary Louise Flora Schuster passed away on February 9, 2022. Mary was born January 27, 1951, in Dayton, Ohio to Lee Merriman Flora and Anna Louise Schaaf. When Mary was three years old, her parents moved to Houston, Texas. Mary attended St. Augustine School for her early grades; then graduated from South Houston High School in 1969. Later, she attended classes at San Jacinto College.
Mary was employed by Fisher Scientific, Texas Instruments, and Waukesha-Pearce Industries before retirement in 2007. She was an administrative assistant and a human resources clerk.
Mary loved animals. She spent many hours watching birds and squirrels. She often fed them and encouraged her husband to photograph them. She would maintain water baths and bird feeders for them.
Mary loved trinkets, gadgets, and she often gave items to people as a gesture of affection. Mary loved lighthouses and often wore clothing adorned with them. Mary & her husband traveled to all coasts of the United States to visit lighthouses.
Mary is survived by her husband Stephen Schuster (Steve), daughter Melody Morris of The Woodlands, Texas, three grandsons, Timothy, Gabriel, and Sterling. She also had a great grandchild.
Mary’s kindness and wit will be sorely missed by folks at the Lamplighters Club in Missouri City.
