

Michael Robert Brower, born on August 30, 1953, in Springfield, MO, passed away on July 8, 2025, at the age of 71. Mike was an adventurous, devoted, faithful, and hard-working individual who leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from The University of Texas in Austin. His career spanned various chemical companies, primarily in the chlor alkali business. His work took him from Deer Park, TX, to Buffalo, NY, then Victoria, TX, to Lake Jackson, TX, and out west to Henderson, NV. His final assignment was in Freeport, TX, with Olin. Mike and Carolyn moved to Sienna, TX, where he commuted to Freeport until his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 49 and a half years, Carolyn Brower, whom he married on December 20, 1975. Mike was a devoted father to his daughter, Marissa Davis, and her husband, Matt, and his son, Benjamin Brower, and his wife, Erika. He was a loving grandfather to Lucy Brower, Elle Brower, Sarah Brower, Holden Davis, and Freya Davis. Mike is also survived by his sisters, Marla Leggett and her husband Rick, and Meg Smola and her husband Tony, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Henrietta Brower. Mike's beloved dog, Luke, was a cherished companion.
In his personal life, Mike was a member of the Sienna Golf Club and enjoyed camping, traveling, and spending time with his family and dog. He took pleasure in grilling and relaxing by the fire. Mike had many adventures over the years and particularly enjoyed camping and hiking while living out west. He continued his retirement with a final journey to the beloved Big Bend National Park this past March, shortly before his health began to decline.
Expressions of gratitude are extended to the Methodist Heart Transplant Team, the Palliative Care Unit at MD Anderson, and all those who helped, guided, treated, and supported Mike and Carolyn on his medical journey over the past three years.
Mike Brower will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, devotion to his family, and the faithful and hard-working life he led.
Family and friends are invited to a Family Visitation on July 25, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm at Texas Leaguer Brewery, located at 13503 Pike Rd., Missouri City, TX 77489.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, located at 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478, on July 26, 2025, from 2:00 PM. A catered reception will follow the memorial service in the Event Room at the funeral home.
