What I recall most about Nancy was how she supported her Husband and sons decisions. Texas Instruments moved them all over Texas, and all the sons were successful at their chosen professions.  Good men all of them and proud to call them my friends. God bless Nancy.

Our deepest condolences and prayers go out to the entire Verona family.  We were so sad to hear about Nancy’s passing, but also take comfort knowing she is in heaven with our heavenly father, her husband Wayne, and my Mom, who loved her very much.  I’ve been upset all week that I cannot be there to pay our last respects to such a wonderful woman and celebrate a life so well lived.  Our family always admired the Verona’s who raised great, successful kids and who were so kind to us growing up. The entire neighborhood felt a profound sense of loss when they moved away so many years ago.  

Nancy’s genuine kindness was always on full display when she greeted you.  She was one of my Mom’s dearest friends, and despite moving away, they connected often.  Nancy always put others before herself and it showed in her love for her family, friends, and community.  Nancy embodies God's call for all Christians to shine as a light in a world overshadowed by darkness, as stated in Matthew 5:16: 'In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.' Her remarkable Christ-like demeanor served as an inspiring model for everyone she encountered.  She will be deeply missed by all who had the honor of meeting her.

My sister, Kerry and I never met our cousin Nancy in person but we got to know her through a cousin text thread that was started a few years ago. We are so grateful we got to know her. Nancy was the family historian. We learned so much about our mother’s  family from her. She had a great sense of humor and loved her own family so much. We miss her, terribly.

I am so honored and grateful to have been able to have the time that I did with Nancy, Wayne and their family these past several years.  Being able to go up to the cabin and experience all of those memories from my visits when I was a child were priceless.  I loved Nancy's colorful stories. I learned so much about the family through Nancy's memories. Nancy always looked for the good in everyone and knew how to make you feel good about yourself.  I will miss you always and thank you for the memories.

I will keep Nancy’s memory always in my heart 💜.  I loved her sense of humor and her sweet voice.  On our cousin group text she shared so many wonderful memories of the north woods n her family she loved n was so proud of. She was always game for anything like the time Nancy, Mom, Bill n I went to the great grandparent’s farm in WI. We had great times w bill, Wayne  n your mom at Zorka’s cabin in Phillips. I remember fondly our  road-trip through Texas,  me, Mom, Nancy n Wayne took after Monty’s wedding. They were so generous w their time showing us the state of Texas and inviting mom n I in their home to visit.When I started my genealogy journey Nancy was right there helping me navigate all the information and connecting w relatives. I couldn’t have done it w/o her. We didn’t live close but I felt a deep kinship to her. I will miss her terribly 🙏🏻💙🙏🏻

My deepest sympathy to Nancy’s family.  Our friendship went back to our high school days in Park Falls, WI when we lived across the street from one another.  So many nice memories from those days!  Nancy and her mom lived in a small upstairs apartment and when mom traveled, Nancy would be alone, but she always stayed busy with a smile on her face and that wonderful positive attitude!  We got together many evenings for girl-talk, popcorn and soft drinks.  We talked about our futures.  Her heart was with Wayne and she wrote him often while he was away.  We didn’t get together as much when I was away at school, but times at home always included visits with Nancy.  During our married years, we connected with cards and letters during the holidays.  Then, as sometimes happens with long-distance friendships, communications lapsed for a while.  We reconnected when Nancy and Wayne were in Texas and my husband and I in Arizona.  Then sadly, both of us lost our husbands within 8 months.   And now my dear friend is gone as well.  I am thankful for our friendship over the years, and despite the grief, there is a sense of happiness for Nancy; we know she is with our Lord in heaven!  Rest in His heavenly peace dear Nancy!

My deepest condolences to you & your families. I will miss Nancy and all the stories and secrets that we shared. I am grateful for the those moments & grateful that  I have many photos of her and I-old and new. The memories of Nancy will never fade-I will think of her always. 
I will treasure the times I was able to spend with her and the family both in Texas and Wisconsin.  Getting to meet  and know 
all of you was a joy that I will treasure forever!

Dear Verona Family, 

I send my sincerest and deepest sympathy to you all at this difficult time.   I am sad that Nancy is gone, but consoled by the knowledge that she is, now, with her beloved husband.  Nancy brought much joy to her cousins over the years, and I will miss her greatly.
 
May the many happy memories of dear Nancy bring you all comfort and peace.
