George was a man who wore many hats. He was raised in the family restaurant business and in the 1960s, began a lifetime career in real estate and general investments. Starting another chapter of his life, the “Judge” served eight years as a Fort Bend County Justice of the Peace, after which he was elected the first Mexican-American Sheriff of Fort Bend County, serving a four-year term.

He was a trustee with the George Foundation, 1986-1992; Vice Chairman of the Houston Housing Board back in the ‘60s; and was a proud Life Member with the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo, Fort Bend County Fair Association, and the Fort Bend ISD FFA & Rodeo Association.
