

RALPH FREDERICK KIMBRELL, passed away on February 11, 2014. He was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan, on March 25, 1946. He was preceded by his father, Roy E. Kimbrell II; and step-father, Maurice “Red” Bell. Ralph is survived by his wife Judy; sons, Brian and his wife Tish, and Christopher and his wife Elizabeth; daughter, Jessica; mother, Elizabeth Bell; brothers, Roy E. Kimbrell III and his wife Donna; Mark Bell and his wife Raana, and Scott Bell; and sister, Jean Rae Kimbrell and her husband Mike.
Ralph graduated from California Institute of Technology in 1968 with a BS in Engineering. He then served in the U.S. Army as a Specialist Five during the Vietnam War between 1969 and 1971. Ralph then graduated from Stanford University in 1972 with a Masters in Aeronautical Engineering. He began working for GE Nuclear Energy Division before completing his MBA from the University of California Berkeley. Ralph then worked for Unocal for 25 years, where he met his wife, Judy. After leaving Unocal, he worked at the United Way of Greater Houston, University of Texas Health Service Center, Red Technology Alliance, and Halliburton. Ralph was an Eagle Scout, long-time donor to the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center, and active in Houston Habitat for Humanity.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 15, 2014, at The Settegast-Kopf Co. @ Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land (Williams Trace Exit).
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ralph's memory may be made to the United Way of Greater Houston, or to the American Cancer Society.
