Ramona Theresa Maitra, 67, passed away from covid-19 complications on the 26th of February 2021. She passed away listening to videos of her grandchildren, holding the hands of her sons, and surrounded by her daughters-in-law and husband.
Ramona is survived by her husband Omyo Maitra, her sons Sunil and Aneil, daughters-in-law Puja and Julie, grandsons Jeremiah, Liam and Noah and granddaughters Cosima and Mia.
Ramona was born on April 22, 1953. She was a middle child, being one of six, to Mr. Victor and Phyllis Athaide. Four of the six children, Cassandra, Jenny, Gerald and Lionel survive today, and she has now joined her youngest brother Ainsley. She left behind a large extended family comprised of 7 nieces, 7 nephews, 6 grandnieces and 9 grandnephews. A funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday March 08, 2021at Sacred Heart Catholic Church 507 S 4 Th Street Richmond Texas 77469 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM at the church.
