

Ray was a Certified Public Accountant and held a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University. His esteemed career in the oil and gas field reflected his commitment to excellence and integrity.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Eugene Howard and Billie Doris Leatherwood Gilmore. Ray is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Julie Howard, and their children: daughter Kelsey Kubiak, her husband Sean Kubiak and their children Grant and Luke, and sons Landon Howard and his wife Rand and Carson Howard and his wife Skylar and their children Kitt and Hudson. He is also survived by his sister Lynda Bosak and her Husband Morris and sister Sherry Stasney, his brother, Mark Howard. His mother-in-law, Lorelei Sullivan, as well and many nieces and nephews also mourn his passing.
Ray's personal interests included dancing, fishing, making people laugh with his jokes, building and creating things and collecting coins. He was an active member of the Sugar Land Methodist Church TMV (Tuesday Morning Volunteer), sat on the board of the Community National Bank and participated in community activities with the Sugar Land Methodist Church, Sugar Land Sharks, and Kempner Swimming.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of Ray's generous spirit and commitment to helping others. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
