SEAN D. ISENSEE, died at home, April 7, 2013. He was 31 years old and had attended Clements High School, The University of Houston, and a technical school for auto mechanics. Sean was diagnosed in late adolescence with rapid cycling bipolar disorder compounded with generalized anxiety disorder. This illness was a source of great suffering for Sean, even though he received treatment from many medical providers. Despite his illness, he worked as an auto mechanic, car salesman, and developed skills with computers and video production. He loved fine design in cars, computers, watches and people (especially women). He also posted many product reviews on YouTube. Sean was highly intelligent, artistic and articulate and loved his nuclear and extended family very much. Among his passions were football (which he played at Clements high school), Formula 1 racing and snow skiing. He also loved debating, most notably with his father. In his immediate family he is survived by his mother, Deborah L. Isensee; father, Clarence T. (Ted) Isensee, Jr; and brother, Austin C Isensee. In lieu of flowers his family requests donations in his name to NAMI (National Alliance for the Mentally Ill). Sean will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him. He always said he was either “on or off” and when he was “on”, he was really “on.” Sean was proud of his large family and wanted them to be proud of him.
A scholarship for Clements High School defensive football players is being established in his name, as well as a foundation for training police officers in the best, safest techniques for dealing with mentally ill people. For further details on the scholarship and the foundation, please contact Ted Isensee at [email protected].
