

Thelma was born to Isabelo Gavina Ocampo, Sr. and Antera Macagba Dumaguin Ocampo on May 31 (June 1), 1947 in Baroro, Bacnotan, La Union, Philippines. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering at Adamson University in Manilla, Philippines. Thelma immigrated to Houston, TX in the 70's, lived in Sugar Land, TX and worked as a Piping Design Engineer with ABB and other firms up until her retirement.
Thelma was a faithful woman who loved the Lord, her family, church, and community.
She was a very active member of the Catholic Daughters of America at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. She dedicated her time to Rosa Mystica at Notre Dame Church and yearly devotion to St. Joseph at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. She was a Lifetime Member of the Ilocano Club of Metro Houston.
Thelma enjoyed traveling the world, going on Catholic Pilgrimage tours, and visiting Holy sites throughout Europe. She played the piano so gracefully, well educated in the fine arts, and was quite the history buff. Thelma was an excellent cook and baked the most delicious desserts.
Thelma was predeceased by her sister Evelyn Ocampo Garcia. She is survived by her sister Virginia Ocampo Baladad and family, her brother Isabelo Dumaguin Ocampo, Jr. and family, her brother Orlando Dumaguin Ocampo and family, her brother in-law Antonio Garcia and family, her brother Francisco Dumaguin Ocampo and family, her brother Cesar Dumaguin Ocampo and family. She will be sorely missed by all her nieces, nephews, grandchildren, family friends near and far, and the Catholic community.
A visitation for Thelma will be held Friday, May 13, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Settegast-Kopf Company at Sugar Creek, 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478. A rosary service will occur Friday, May 13, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, 15015 Southwest Fwy, Sugar Land, TX 77478. A mass of christian burial will occur Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 12627 W Bellfort Ave, Sugar Land, TX 77478. A reception will occur Saturday, May 14, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 12627 W Bellfort Ave, Sugar Land, TX 77478.
