GENE MABRY was born July 29, 1950 in Bessemer, Alabama, to William Eugene and Marcille Mabry. He passed from this life on October 12, 2013, in Houston, Texas. He was married to Janice Sue Mabry for 42 years. Gene and Janice have two daughters, Amy and Ann.
Gene was a preacher of the gospel for 43 years. He preached in Washington, New Jersey; Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; Kerrville, Texas; and Vicksburg, Mississippi. He preached for the Murphy Road Church of Christ in Missouri City for the past 22 years.
Gene is survived by his mother, Jane Marcille Mabry of Alabaster, Alabama; three brothers, Lawrence Mabry of Riverview, Florida, Andy Mabry of Pelham, Alabama, and Mike Mabry of McCalla, Alabama. He is also survived by his wife Janice Mabry of Sugar Land, Texas; daughter, Amy Torno and her husband Shane of Corpus Christi, Texas; and daughter, Ann Morton and her husband Jared of Apopka, Florida. He has four grandchildren, Benjamin Torno, Caleb Torno, Brock Morton, and Norah Morton.
